Article promotion and marketing is now a front runner right behind guest posting for one of the key aspects of website marketing. Now there are some bad places which you may want to stay away from when marketing an article these are the same places that you do not want your URL when submitting to any forum of directory. Any website that does not review your articles and has no rules that monitor the number of backlinks are a clear sign that the directory is a link farm and the only reason for its creation is to help with SERPs position. So where then should people submit their articles?

This is a question that is not answered simply since thoughts on appropriate marketing range from prophecies that the black hatters have of artificially inflating your backlink count to strict white hatters saying only submit to the most respected websites. Let me give you how I tell if a directory is worth submitting to. First and foremost Page Rank; now I understand that page rank means absolutely nothing for SERPs position and really should only be considered in very few circumstances when deciding where you want to market your website, but I feel that if an article directory does not have PR this is due to one of two reasons. First the article directory could be brand new and I mean just opened its doors to articles. The second and much more likely way that an article directory could not even manage a Page Rank of one is they have been punished by Google for being a link farm. It is much safer to submit to article directories that have at least a Page Rank of 1.

Now from my research throughout marketing articles and thoughts on webmaster forums there is a lot of discussion on whether or not to submit the same article to hundreds of directories. When Google comes across an article which is unique it is labeled so and every other instance of that piece will be considered duplicate content. Will this affect your position in Google SERPs or stunt your Page Rank growth; it is very unlikely the worst thing I have seen happen from a website that had submitted the same article to hundreds of directories is the backlinks do not have the same amount of link juice as the links in a unique article. I have found it personally helpful to use the free traffic system to reach the first page in SERPs. If you would like to find it just do a search for “free traffic system” and it will be the first website listed. What is nice about this article submission program is they add a manual touch and make sure to follow all of the Google webmaster guidelines when placing the articles on the blogs that participate in the program. This is an excellent way to get the maximum exposure for your article and at the same time quickly becoming an authority in your niche.

So when it comes down to article marketing I would like to point out that article promotion should be one of the key aspects in your marketing campaign and I also believe that if you take the time to write a unique article for each submission you will be rewarded for your hard work, but if you choose to submit an article to many different sources it is a good idea to either find a system that will help you rewrite your article or manually take the time to rewrite the article before submitting it over and over. I hope this shed some light on article marketing and if you are interested in making money online free with your website and/or blog article marketing should be a part of your marketing campaign.

Affiliate Marketing is one of most lucrative industries in the world and it comes as no surprise that like any other industry, the cream rise to the top. It is estimated that 20% of Affiliate Marketers bring home up to 80% of the money on the table but how do these marketers position and keep themselves in front of the money time and time again.

One of the biggest mistake Affiliate Marketers make is their belief that Affiliate Marketing will bring them instant riches, while it’s true that the most successful Affiliate Marketers make seven figure incomes these marketers did not achieve overnight success and either will you, sorry to break any possible delusions

In order to be successful in this industry you must have the right mindset, that being, one of action, patience, determination and self belief. This industry will see you failing more times than you succeed but it’s these failures that allow you to regroup, reassess and change direction. Get into the mindset that each failure is feedback, praise it, accept it and use it to fire you up and get on the battlefield again.

Don’t Be Too Personal

Although it is fine to be personal in your posts, you might not want to be too personal in how much you disclose about yourself. For example, including your phone number or address in a post or on your profile is probably not a good idea. You should think smart and only allow people to know things that you want them to know. For your own safety, you might not want to post your last name either. When someone has a lot of information about you, it is easier for them to victimize you through identity theft, harassment, or other crimes. So, stay safe and never post really private information.

Never Use Real Names

When you are posting, and keeping it personal and real, there can be times in which other people in your life come up in topic. Be very careful including other people in your posts. First, never use their real names. This is a huge mistake. Unless the person gives you permission to write about them, you should never do so. It will only lead to trouble. If the person you mention reads your blog, they could get offended that you are writing about them. Even if the post is positive, it can be seen much like talking behind their back. Try to keep the posts about you or celebrities or other public figures. Let everyone else’s business remain their own.

Keep It Fresh

One of the best things you can do as a blogger is to keep your blog fresh. This means that you should be posting often and changing things around when doing so. Post on different topics so your audience can stay interested. Also, post at least twice a week. People who will become fans of your site will want to read as much as possible on your blog. Updating your blog regularly will allow them to be entertained. If you only post once a month, chances are no one will remember to keep checking your blog and your traffic will not be impressive.

Before you pay an arm and a leg for a blogging space, you should know that there are sites where you can blog for free. Yes, for no charge at all you can set up your own blog. These sites are great for the new blogger. If you want something a little more sophisticated, you might have to pay for it. The free sites are very well maintained however. They are easy to use and offer several different templates for you to use when designing your blog. They automatically update your posts for you, which make them a breeze! Remember, you should not pay a large fee for your blog, especially if you are new to blogging. Do your research and find the free sites!
